a guy who doesn't write enough

Mo’ blog for your buck

Good buddy Paul and I have decided that life is going to blow past us if we don’t take matters into our own hands. So, we’re going to be taking one picture (at least) per day for the next year, and probably beyond. So that means Halloween of 2008 will be the finish line. The goal is that this will help us remember all the little things that we might otherwise forget.

While Paul is just going to start dragging his camera everywhere, I’ve decided to go with my cellphone as the primary weapon of choice. If I was only to use my camera I would probably fall off the wagon, unfortunately. This is also going to be a good way for me to start getting back into using my Flickr account; who knows, I might even upgrade to pro. So I’ve got it all set. Flickr’s email address is in my phone, the flash badge is on the site, set only to display pictures tagged from my phone (hence the small number of pictures right now). I might supplement this year-long project with photos from my real camera if the event is important enough, but for the most part just expect me to start sending some snapshots from my phone to the site.

The quality isn’t really that bad either I have to say. It’s only 2.0 MP, but that’s still not too shabby. And no risk of shirking my duty, since I always have my phone on me. Hey, grainy pictures are better than no pictures, I suppose.

  2. I think I’m going to have to get in on this photo action too. I always complain that I have no memories to look back on! :(

  6. Cool! For me with Verizon they go under “out of network pix messages” which I have 500 of a month. You should see about setting up something similar with your provider.

  10. Yeah those were good times, haha.

It’s like that project. I’m finding it a bit tough to take a picture of something real interesting each day though, since each day I am at work, at my desk. Pretty much all day.

  11. Maybe you could do a timelapse thing, take a photo of the same thing every day. :)
